    What To Know

    Your First Visit

Welcome to our office! Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by one of our scheduling coordinators. They will be delighted to assist you with signing into our automated check-in system. Also at this time, they will ask you for the patient information forms that you downloaded or received in the mail and have filled out prior to coming into the office.

One of our licensed dental assistants will take digital photographs of your face and teeth. You will then be escorted to meet with the doctors, where you will have an examination and a review of your photographs.

The first appointment is a preliminary examination to determine if there is a need for orthodontic treatment. We understand that each patient comes to our office with different needs and expectations about orthodontics. That’s why we have set aside a special time, during your first visit, to get to know one another and discuss your questions and concerns. Please allow 40 minutes for your initial complimentary visit.

For our younger patients who may require little or no treatment at the present time, careful evaluation should nevertheless be made. The doctors will check the overall skeletal growth and dental eruption pattern. In some cases, limited interceptive treatment may be indicated, and in others the doctors may prefer to wait for more growth before starting a full orthodontic treatment.

If treatment is indicated, we will be happy to review the financial aspect of your care. Treatment fees are based on individual cases and we offer a variety of affordable payment options. In order to assist you in receiving your maximum orthodontic insurance benefit, our office staff will be happy to work with you in processing and submitting your claim.  If time allows, diagnostic records can be taken or, if preferred, a separate appointment can be scheduled. This information will enable the doctor to completely identify and confirm your treatment needs.
